The Bamboo History Podcast host, Steven is a young Australian bloke of Chinese background. Steven has loved Chinese history from a young age, and it became a primary way for him to connect with his Chinese heritage.

Bored to death during the COVID lockdowns when you could barely leave the house to do anything, Steven decided to create a history podcast in the hopes of sharing his knowledge to the bigger world and hopefully give listeners a greater understanding about Chinese culture and its history.

Whilst Steven is a Chinese history nut, he is also keen on learning the history of China's East Asian neighbours too, and since starting this podcast he occasionally posts episodes on the history of countries such as Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Mongolia.
